The New York Police Department (NYPD) has released still photos of a suspect connected to the shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson Wednesday morning in Manhattan. Police are offering a $10,000 reward “for information leading to an arrest and conviction."
“UPDATE: Below are photos of a person of interest wanted for questioning regarding the Midtown Manhattan homicide on Dec. 4. This does not appear to be a random act of violence; all indications are that it was a premediated, targeted attack,” the NYPD posted.
“The full investigative efforts of the NYPD are continuing, and we are asking for the public’s help—if you have any information about this case, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). There is a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.”

The gunman remains at large even as the NYPD is investigating what appears to be a message on the shell casings from the gun used to kill Thompson. Police sources told ABC News late Wednesday that the words “deny,” “defend” and “depose” were detected on the casings. After the shooting, the suspect first ran on foot into any alley, recovered a phone and then proceeded to use an e-bike, or electric bike, to continue his escape. He was last seen riding the e-bike in Central Park, at 6:48 am, according to police.
Thompson’s wife has said her husband had received threats prior to the attack. The gunman was clearly waiting for Thompson to appear at the Midtown Hilton Hotel.

Thompson reportedly sold shares worth $15.1 million on Feb. 16, less than two weeks before the public revelation of a DOJ antitrust probe, according to a Crain’s New York Business report from April.
