On Tuesday morning, President Donald Trump declared that federal funding will be stripped from schools that allow "illegal protests," with agitators being imprisoned, expelled, or deported depending on the severity of the act and the student's country of origin.
Trump wrote, "All Federal Funding will STOP for any College, School, or University that allows illegal protests. Agitators will be imprisoned/or permanently sent back to the country from which they came. American students will be permanently expelled or, depending on on the crime, arrested. NO MASKS! Thank you for your attention to this matter."

Last spring, anti-Israel agitators took over college campuses across the nation to set up encampments. In New York, police arrested agitators at Columbia University and City College of New York, with the former seeing agitators break into Hamlin Hall and occupy it. Of the 282 taken into custody between the two colleges, 134 of them were outside agitators, not students.
Portland State University saw far-left agitators, including Antifa members, take over the campus’ library. Over $1.2 million in damages was caused to the building, which was left covered in graffiti, windows and doors broken, and fire systems damaged. It reopened in the fall after the extensive repairs were made. 30 people, including 6 PSU students, were arrested.
