View on XBoulder Police initially believed that some fuel had leaked from the train into the nearby Boulder Creek, but said Friday morning that they believe sand that had spilled from the trail cars had absorbed the fuel from the engines.
"A small amount of fuel spilled from the locomotive but is not impacting the creek. Crews are on site working to clear the incident as quickly and safely as possible. There is no threat to the public," Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) said.
