CDC expected to release guidelines for vaccinated Americans

According to Politico, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is publishing a set of guidance standards for Americans who have received both doses of the COVID vaccine.
The guidance, expected as soon as Thursday, is expected to recommend that people still wear masks in public and limit the scope of their social interactions.
But fully-vaccinated Americans can finally gather together at home without concern. A section of the outline is dedicated to travel, and has various example scenarios detailed.
On Monday, Dr. Fauci previewed the upcoming guidance at a press conference with reporters. This is what he had to say:
“I use the example of a daughter coming in from out of town who is doubly vaccinated, and a husband and wife doubly vaccinated, and maybe a next-door neighbor who you know are doubly vaccinated. Small gatherings in the home of people, I think you can clearly feel that the risk — the relative risk is so low that you would not have to wear a mask, that you could have a good social gathering within the home.”
The pandemic battlefield is split between focus on vaccinations, the statistics that show decreased hospitalizations, but also the threat of potential new variants.
The current narrative from the CDC is one of overabundant caution. Especially in the face of Texas and Mississippi’s recent announcements of accelerating full-fledged statewide reopening and lifting of mask mandates.
While some have asserted this is the first time the CDC is signaling American outlook towards returning to a normal life, back in mid-February they bungled the release of guidance for reopening schools. What was meant to be "sticking to the science" got caught up in the politicized red tape of demands from teachers unions.
