After dealing with Twitter censorship issues, the Daily Wire's "What Is A Woman?" a documentary by Matt Walsh, hit 100 million views early Saturday morning.
The outlet also announced that "the movie they really don't want you to see" will be available on Twitter for the rest of the weekend, after previously planning to run it for 24hrs only. "We want everyone to have a chance to watch it for free!" they said.

View on XOn Thursday morning, the first day of Pride Month, the Daily Wire CEO Jeremy Boreing announced that Twitter had canceled a deal both companies struck to promote the film on the platform. "Twitter canceled a deal with [the Daily Wire] to premiere What is a Woman?for free on the platform because of two instances of 'misgendering,'" he wrote.
According to Boreing, the platform claimed the censorship was due to their "freedom of speech not reach" policy. Within a few hours, Twitter owner Elon Musk said, "This was a mistake by many people at Twitter. It is definitely allowed."
However, the restrictions to sharing the video were still limited, leading some to doubt Elon's sincerity to allow it to be unrestricted. Musk responded to those doubts by Tweeting out the video himself on Friday morning with the caption, "Every parent should watch this."
"Consenting adults should do whatever makes them happy, provided it does not harm others, but a child is not capable of consent, which is why we have laws protecting minors," he said.

View on XThe documentary also faced roadblocks when it was first released on June 1st of last year. During the premiere, the Daily Wire website was hit with a cyber attack, causing the host site to crash.
In the film, Matt Walsh travels the country to ask a wide range of people to discuss transgender issues, and what it means to be a woman. From transgender activists to mental health professionals, the film shows a wide range of beliefs on the issue.

View on XThe film has been subject to censorship since its release. In September, Eventbrite decided that viewing parties for the film would not be allowed to use the site for ticketing.
Head of Twitter Trust and Safety Ella Irwin resigned on Thursday amid the controversy.
