Democrats to force through Biden’s $3.5 TRILLION spending bill without GOP support

According to the report by Politico, "The proposal sets an overall limit of $3.5 trillion for the spate of Democratic policy ambitions that won’t make it into a bipartisan infrastructure deal, if Congress can reach one."

"Formal text of the Senate's budget resolution has yet to be released. If that measure can clear both chambers with lockstep party support, it will unleash the power to circumvent a GOP filibuster using budget reconciliation, the same move that Democrats used to pass the president’s $1.9 trillion pandemic aid package in March."

The budget resolution will require the support of every Democrat in the Senate. Dems could only lose 4 votes in the House in order to trigger reconciliation. Various committees could then use the process to push through the Democrat agenda.

Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Jon Tester (D-MT) have not yet signed on to the proposal.

The Democrats' massive partisan package is expected to include progressive wish-list items such as: two years of free community college, paid leave, health care subsidies, extending the boosted child tax credit and other child care costs.

Also in the works is the bipartisan infrastructure bill, which would require support from at least 10 Senate Republicans. However, the agreement might be falling apart due to Republican concerns over spending and ways to pay for the legislation.

Manchin said Tuesday that he wants both the bipartisan infrastructure bill and a separate Democratic-only bill to be fully paid for. "I think everything should be paid for. We’ve put enough free money out."

The report comes even as inflation continues to spike as a result of the massive amounts of government spending by the Biden administration.
