Donations to Ilhan Omar spike to $1.5 MILLION immediately after DHS raid
Omar reported raising $1.9 million in the first two weeks of October, per the FEC.

The day DHS agents raided the Washington, DC home of Ilhan Omar, as well as the day after, support for her spiked and she raised over $1.5 million in campaign funds, according to an analysis from the Washington Post.
Omar reported raising $1.9 million in the first two weeks of October, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission. On October 12, which was the day the raid took place, she received $847,000, which was the highest day of this election cycle. The following day, she got $665,000.
During the last two years of the campaign cycle for the Minnesota Democrat, she has raised a total of over $8 million, with a sizeable portion coming from the reaction to the raid. The raid was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations and is connected to an investigation into the lawmaker's immigration status and whether or not her father lied about her age on immigration forms when they became citizens. Omar has claimed that when she became a citizen in 2000, she was 17 years old, and therefore eligible to get automatic naturalization with her parents as a minor.
However, some records have shown that she would have been 18 at the time and would have had to file for her immigration status as an adult. Omar has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing regarding her immigration status and denied other allegations that she married her brother to get him a green card.
Omar has been asking for donations to help with legal fees. As the case against Omar has been getting a lot of attention, it was revealed by a search warrant issued by a judge that her real name is not "Omar," according to the legal document. It is, instead, Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, which shares the same surname as the man she married in 2009 that many have alleged is actually her brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi.
Trump posted to Truth Social about the name and said, "It was just revealed that Ilhan Omar’s name is not Ilhan Omar, the one she used to get elected and sworn into Congress, but rather, it’s an entirely different name, Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, and that her last name is, incredibly, also the exact name of her brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, the person they said she married."

View on XHe called on her to "immediately resign from Congress. She responded, "The pedophile protection party’s president is laundering right-wing conspiracy theories through the most corrupt DOJ in American history. Whenever the news turns bad, this creep reaches for one name: mine. So let’s make it crystal clear. My name has always been Ilhan Omar. Maybe you should focus on what your VP’s real name is."
Omar is facing an investigation into her immigration status as well as another investigation into her finances after her net worth dropped from $6 million to $30 million down to between $18,000 and $95,000 on congressional records. She blamed the net worth figure on an accounting error.
