German Green Party releases advertisement featuring Antifa propaganda
Days ahead of when thousands of Antifa rioters descended on Leipzig, Germany, and caused destruction to city structures on Saturday, the Green Party’s chapter for the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg borough in Berlin released advertising featuring Antifa propagand
The stylized poster features numerous left-wing demands, with one woman bearing a sickle and hammer tattoo on her chest, one person wearing a shirt bearing the Antifa flag symbol, and a building door stating "Antifa area."
Also included in the far-left signage is the newest iteration of the LGBTQ+ Black Lives Matter flag, the word "clit" behind playing children and a message that reads, "Homes belong to those who live in them"—a nod to Antifa's subculture of illegally occupying buildings. Berlin's Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg borough is infamous for Antifa organizing and squatting. It has led to years of violent confrontation against police. On May Day this year, 93 officers were injured after Antifa rioted in the neighborhood and started multiple fires, Associated Press reported.
The poster was created by German artist Laura Breiling for the German Green Party, which holds 67 seats in parliament, for the upcoming election. The 2021 German federal election is set to be held on Sunday, Sept. 26.
The Antifa propaganda comes as Leipzig, Germany, was swarmed with numerous Antifa militants dressed in black bloc. The leftist group marched across the city, setting off smoke bombs as they walked and starting street fires in the area. When they arrived in the left-wing alternative neighborhood of Connewitz, the group began to throw cobblestones at police and nearby banks as well as police stations.
