‘I am a murderer’: Suspect in Philly ‘house of horrors’ case said humans are ‘cancer,’ railed against racism, global warming in writings

Raymond “RC” Horsch, who died in May 2025, had a self-published book on Amazon called “Worldview: A User’s Guide to the Human Brain,” which was released in 2023. In the writings, he labeled humans as "an insignificant lifeform” that is different than animals. He lamented racism and pollution as well.

The 230-page manifesto was pulled from booksellers but was obtained by the New York Post. He claimed in the book, “Every mention or reference to racial characteristics or race is, by definition and without exception, racist."

Horsch revealed himself to be an atheist in the rambling writings and claimed to love diversity. “The real solution is to not condemn and exclude but rather to embrace, value and celebrate difference,” he added, writing, “The key to the success of any society is diversity in all things — thought, intellect, social custom, race, ethnic heritage, gender.”

He also compared human beings to cancer. “The human species is analogous to a cancer," he wrote, and then lamented the impacts of what he called “the effects of resource rape, pollution and carbon emission.”

"The ice is not going to stop melting and sea level is not going to stop rising. Depleted ocean oxygen levels, mostly due to the massive dumping of waste and plastic, are causing irreversible extinctions and loss of entire ecosystems,” he wrote.

Despite his lengthy writings and being a self-described feminist, Horsch has now been linked to the deaths of at least seven women. He also self-published three other pornographic novels, where investigators have been looking for clues to see if facts based around his life have been implanted into the smutty material. In one book called "Empathy: The Memoir of an Empathic Serial Killer,” Horsch's character kills an addict named Krsita that he encountered in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood. Horsch frequented the location when he was alive.

“I am a murderer,” he wrote in the book. “I crush her trachea. I feel her hyoid crack and collapse. I kiss her tenderly on her lips and eyes. I cry and sob uncontrollably.” Then in great detail, he wrote in the book that the woman was disposed of in a bathtub using lye from a plumbing store. “Krista will live longer than most because she will always exist in my [photographs]," he wrote.

Horsch's son, Eugene Horsch, was arrested in June during a routine traffic stop when a woman in his vehicle had the stolen identity of a woman who went missing. A widespread investigation has now been launched and has uncovered hundreds of thousands of photographs and videos that include materials showing the severe abuse, asphyxiation, and strangulation of women who have gone missing. Five of the missing women have been seen in the videos and images that were recovered.

The home in Olney also contained urns with ashes and containers with an unknown oily substance. Thus far, there have been no human remains found in the home, and there have been no charges filed related to homicide. Eugene has been kept in custody on charges of felony gun possession and using fake FBI and DEA credentials.

Police have said that the five women linked to Horsch who have also gone missing include Gabrielle Amarando, Maribel Fresses, Nicole Fusaro, Blair Tonzelli, and Horsch’s ex-wife Amy McHale.
