Independent schools org founder compares anti-CRT parents to Jan. 6 rioters

Glasgow helped found the National Association for Independent schools (NAIS) and is himself the Head of School at Maryland's Sandy Spring Friends School, a posh boarding school where parents pay up to $66,000 per year per student. He also runs The Glasgow Group, which offers "diversity, equity and inclusion consulting" to other private schools.

According to the Daily Mail, the NAIS serves as an accrediting institute for member schools, which include some of the most expensive in the nation, and indeed, the world. These include such prominent names as Dalton, Brearley, the Lycee Francais and Grace Church.

In fact, the event itself was held at Dalton, and Glasgow was introduced by none other than Jim Best, who used to be the Head at Dalton. He was present at the event, despite having resigned from his position in Apr. 2021, amid uproar on the part of the school's students' parents.

The 50-minute speech features Glasgow displaying "his multi-colored nail polish, jewelry and a t-shirt which read 'I make my ancestors proud'".

Glasgow said during the presentation:

"There's an image of Jan. 6 where the people are standing in front of the Capitol...someone who was meant to keep them out, someone who was meant to protect the Capitol, opened the gate and let everybody in."

"In that moment I actually wept because there is no truer metaphor for independent schools than that moment."

"We're focused now on the parents on the outside fear and the anger and the pushback. We're goin' to help them through that. But I want us to turn our attention to what's happening internally to the gate keepers who are keeping the gate open," continued Glasgow.

In the above paragraph, Glasgow appears to be referring to the teachers who oppose The NAIS's agenda.
