Comedian Joe Rogan called X the “most trusted” news source on Earth during a recent podcast featuring podcaster Dave Smith.
“X is the number one news source on Earth. It’s the most trusted because it’s the only one that’s not f*cked with. So even if someone is incorrect, the Community Notes will correct them. The Community notes are rock solid, its a great way to find out what’s real and what’s not real," Rogan said.

“I also think that Elon Musk buying Twitter, if that doesn’t happen I don’t think Trump wins the way he wins,” Rogan continued. Musk appeared to appreciate the compliment, adding: “Joe Rogan says X is the most trusted source of news! True.”

View on XRogan and Musk have previously discussed the significance of the purchase of then-Twitter. During an appearance in October 2023, Musk told Rogan that Twitter was functionally an arm of the government and that right wing voices were suppressed.
"The degree to which Twitter was simply an arm of the government was not well understood by the public," Musk said in response to Rogan bringing up the Twitter Files that were released late 2022 through the beginning of 2023. He compared it to Soviet news agency Pravda and said that Twitter was "a state publication."

View on XMusk said that old Twitter was "propped up," adding that social media giant was a "state publication." The X owner said that under old Twitter, "there was basically oppression of any views that would even, I would say be considered middle of the road, but certainly anything on the right. And I’m not talking about like far right, I’m just talking about mildly right."
"Republicans were suppressed at 10 times the rate of Democrats," he said at the time.
