LeBron James BOMBS at box office after going woke and simping for China

Outkick founder and radio host Clay Travis outlined the failure the movie is expected to be financially, as well as James’ past flirtations with China on Twitter Wednesday.

"Despite LeBron James shutting up & dribbling for Chairman Xi, China still won’t allow Space Jam 2 to air, meaning the movie is likely to lose several hundred million dollars. Should be a massive story. LeBron bent the knee & China still spurned him. Yet media isn’t covering it," Travis said.

"Space Jam 2 cost $200 million to make and market and will likely only make $60-70 million without China," he continued. "Meaning LeBron’s movie will lose over a hundred million dollars, at least. China blocking the movie is a huge story. But no one is even discussing it in media. Strange."

"LeBron ripped the first amendment in the US, declined to speak up for basic human rights in China, & shut up and dribbled for Chairman Xi all to get Space Jam 2 on in China," Travis added. "And now LeBron won’t even talk about his movie being banned. Because he’s still afraid of upsetting China."

According to John Norte of Breitbart, the movie brought in just $32 million during opening weekend in over 4,000 movie theaters

In contrast, the original 1996 version staring Michael Jordan brought in $27.5 million in just 2,650 theaters, with cheaper ticket costs, Nolte added.

The original version reportedly brought in $90.4 million domestic gross. The sequel appears to have trouble reaching $60 million.

Giving reasons as to why the sequel is doing so poorly, Nolte wrote: "Michael Jordan is a much more appealing personality than LeBron James, and in 1996, Jordan was a mythical basketball talent. LeBron is a great player, but he’s no Jordan. He’s also a divisive, pompous jerk."

"Plenty of movies die a domestic death at the box office," explained Nolte. "However, they can still become profitable and declare themselves a worldwide hit, thanks mainly to China’s mammoth box office market, which has saved many Hollywood blockbusters from financial catastrophe."

In April, James was once again mocked for his questionable relationship with China after he came out against Georgia for their voting laws passed earlier in the spring, defending the MLB for their decision to move the All-Star game out of the state. Twitter users repeatedly tagged James in posts of Uyghurs in reeducation camps in China, questioning his silence on the topic.
