Man arrested after Pornhub featured and monetized his alleged rape of 16-year-old girl

Michael Terrell Williams, 27, is facing charges of producing porn with a minor and possession of obscene material after the alleged victim, now 18 years old, went to authorities regarding the video.

Some people took to Twitter to vent their rage regarding this latest incident:

One person in that Twitter thread commented: "If people are being charged & convicted for creating pedo-content that's posted on Pornhub.(PH) Why aren't Mindgeek & PH being held accountable for distributing & increasing the demand of pedo-content!!!! Who's being paid to look the other way? How many, how much, & how often?"

Officials at Pornhub cooperated once they were reached by investigators regarding the incident. However, the video had been up since February 27, 2018 and had already been viewed 2,447 times since then.

Williams's trial has not been assigned a date as of this writing.

This is not the first time Pornhub has come under fire for scandals of this nature. Widespread concern exists over the nature of the Pornhub website, which apparently allows users to register in some cases with nothing more than an email address and a photo, and upload content under that account.
