BREAKING: Matt Walsh’s children’s book is now #1 in the nation after Amazon censorship backfires

"We did it," Walsh told The Post Millennial. "Amazon is actively trying to suppress my children’s book but in spite of that Johnny The Walrus is now the number one best-selling book on all of Amazon. This is causing unimaginable trauma to Amazon's woke employees and I couldn't be happier. Thank you, everyone!"

Amazon employees claimed that the book was "problematic" because it encourages kids to accept and love themselves as they are, and parents to do the same. Amazon employees cried that this book would harm trans people at the company as well as trans customers.

The suppression by Amazon has done nothing but lift the book to number 1, at the top of Amazon's charts. The book has sold out after only 18 hours on the platform, and is heading for its fourth printing, with some 250,000 copies in print.

"I'm just a humble children's author in a cardigan," Walsh told Tucker Carlson Tuesday night. "Johnny the Walrus is about true self-acceptance, and at the end, both Johnny and his mom learn that you should accept yourself for who you truly are. When I was a kid, the message of self-acceptance was the most common message in books; it’s what we read. Now on the Left, what they foist on kids is a false self-acceptance and actually rejecting who you really are in favor of a delusion."

Walsh noted to Carlson that another best-selling book on the platform was from the American Academy of Pediatrics, which endorses "gender affirmative care" for kids, including genital mutilation surgery on healthy bodies and the administration of drugs that turn children into lifelong medical patients.

You-ology: A Puberty Guide for EVERY Body, Walsh noted, published by the American Academy of Pediatrics, encourages parents with children who claim to be the opposite sex to "affirm" that they actually are the opposite sex.

"It's been a very traumatic experience for transgender Amazonians and our transgender customers," said an Amazon employee. "What I don't want to come out of this is slamming the books team with a bunch of tickets; they're already aware of this. There will be there are things in this space that are happening."

"But 'Johnny the Walrus' is a bit of a problematic book. Not a bit, it is — it is not a bit of a problem. It's one hell of a problem," the employee said.

"It is teaching kids to kill, well, to bully transgenders. Yeah to bully them into committing suicide the LGBTQIA, especially transgenders," another Amazon employee said.

Walsh said that Amazon employees "want your 9-year-old to read a book that encourages him to sterilize and castrate himself."

"The children's book tells the tale of Johnny," The Daily Wire elucidates, "a young boy with a vivid imagination who pretends to be different animals. One day, Johnny becomes convinced he is a walrus. Believing her 'internet' friends and caving to their pressure, Johnny’s mom allows him to 'transition' into a walrus. Johnny the Walrus illustrates for children and parents alike how imaginations are just that, imaginations, and not identity crises."
