Flores talked about the problem of child trafficking that goes on with the allowance of illegal border crossings. She said, "The Biden Administration has lost track of 85,000 children, we don't know where they are. That alone is a reason to impeach Mayorkas."
Flores proceeded to announce her campaign to run for a seat in Texas, saying, “I am announcing for Congress. We are taking back our seat."
“We will flip this district and take back what is ours in 2024," she continued.
Flores won a special election in 2022 and flipped the Texas House seat that Biden won by 13 points in 2020. At the time the district was 84 percent Hispanic. However, after redistricting, she lost to Gonzales who was a Democratic incumbent.
She said that her campaign will focus on "empower[ing] our border patrol agents" and "protect[ing] the children" who are getting trafficked across the border. The economy as well was a point she touched on.
Flores called it "the People's campaign" and encouraged the Hispanic population to vote Republican because their "values align with the Republican party."
"I am pro-God, pro-life, pro-family... I was born in Mexico, we were raised with strong conservative values, to always put God and family first. We're all about hard work. That is who we are," she continued.
Flores said that the push for Hispanics to vote for the Democratic party was an attempt to use them as voting block. She emphasized a difference of values and that the party "stands against everything [Hispanics] stand for."
