New York Young Republicans Club condemns GOP ‘traitors’ who joined Democrats in going after Bannon

These lawmakers, NYYRC said, joined "in the Democrats’ politically motivated screed against Stephen K. Bannon, whom they have accused of acting in contempt of Congress," voting on Thursday to find him in criminal contempt.

These "losers," the NYYRC said, "are unremarkable and ineffectual members of Congress riding the coattails of anti-Trump fervor to get more favorable media hits than they could earn on their own merits."

The NYYRC praised Bannon, who on Friday was held in contempt by the toothless committee, as a man with "a well-known and deep passion for the American people" who "connects with members of the America First movement at a personal level."

Bannon was the 2019 recipient of the New York Young Republican Club's Frederic Rene Coudert Jr. Award. The NYYRC said that those in the America First movement "know that they can trust him for honest and forthright assessments of political affairs" and that this "is what makes him dangerous to creeps in Congress who hate the very principle of America First because they benefit from their personal globalist interests."

"These nine Republicans who voted to sic the Justice Department, led by a corrupt whacko, on Mr. Bannon deserve to be challenged in primary elections," they write, "and the New York Young Republican Club will support America First candidates who oppose them in 2022."

The NYYRC put out an invitation to Katko's constituents, specifically, so that they can be informed as to "what a snake they have representing them."

In response to Bannon's being found in criminal contempt on Thursday, the Vice President of the NYYRC Vish Burra told The Post Millennial that "We are steadfast in our support of Stephen K. Bannon and will not waver in the face of Democrats driven by bloodlust and their RINO allies who have shown themselves to be nothing but traitors. We will support the primary efforts of those who will challenge these GOP turncoats who have voted to appease this farcical select committee."

The House voted in a 229 to 202 vote, that was mostly along party lines with the above notable exceptions, to find Bannon in criminal contempt for refusal to comply with a subpoena from Pelosi's Jan. 6 committee.

On Thursday, Biden's Attorney General Merrick Garland spoke in favor of Pelosi's Jan. 6 committee, but refused to comment on assertions by many GOP reps that undercover federal agents had potentially been involved in the events of that day.

Rep. Matt Gaetz, who spoke about his interest in questioning Garland prior to the hearing, said: "It seems that this is a coordinated from a Washington theater standpoint. They want to have action against Bannon. They want Merrick Garland saying he will use the Department of Justice to enforce the actions of the January 6 committee.

"But we know," Gaetz continued, "that the real reason they need Garland in this act in this play, is because the founders never vested in the United States Congress, any real authority or any real power to enforce its subpoenas. It's very interesting in the balance of powers we have if someone simply defies Congress, there is no inherent consequence to that."
