Former President Barack Obama once wrote to an ex-girlfriend that he “fantasizes about making love to men,” biographer David Garrow revealed in an interview on Wednesday.
In a letter to former girlfriend Alex McNear, Obama allegedly confessed that he had repeatedly fantasized about engaging with men in sexual relations, Garrow told Tablet. The letter he received from McNear had an entire paragraph redacted. When Garrow asked, she responded, "It’s about homosexuality."
Garrow said that around when his book Rising Star came out in 2017, McNear sold the originals, which ended up at Emory University. Garrow said that when Emory got the letters, they put out a press release stating "We’ve gotten these rare letters by Barrack Obama," but did not mention any paragraphs that were too sensitive.
The writer sent his friend to the Emory Archives, where he copied down by pencil the paragraph that was redacted, in which Garrow said "Barrack writes to Alex about how he repeatedly fantasizes about making love to men."
