SNL mocks Rep. Elise Stefanik for grilling UPenn President Liz Magill over antisemitism in congress just hours after she resigned in disgrace

Saturday Night Live received backlash after their opening sketch mocked Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) for her line of questioning regarding anti-Semitism on college campuses for the presidents of three Ivy League universities, which led to one of them resigning afterward.
During the sketch, Chloe Troast played the role of Stefanik, mocked her voice, and said, "I’m going to start yelling questions at these women like Billy Eichner."
"Antisemitism - yay or nay?" Troast asked. " Yes or no! Is calling for the genocide of Jews against the code of conduct for Harvard?"
"Well, it depends on the context," Ego Nwodim, the actress playing Harvard President Claudine Gay, responded.
"What? That can't be your answer," Troast said back.
Troast's character later attacked conservatives when she proclaimed, "I am here because hate speech has no place on college campuses." She said, "Hate speech belongs in Congress, on Elon Musk's Twitter, in private dinner parties with my donors, and in public speeches by my work husband, Donald Trump."
On Saturday, University of Pennsylvania President Liz Magill resigned from her position after she would not denounce calls for Jewish genocide in the congressional hearing.
Users on X slammed SNL for its portrayal of the hearing and downplaying of antisemitism taking place on college campuses since the Oct. 7 terror attack on Israel, by mocking Stefanik.
Timcast CEO Tim Pool said, "Woke doubling down on this is hilarious." He added, "Please by all means keep sabotaging yourselves."

View on XRadio host Mark Simone remarked, "Only a hate-filled, anti-Semitic SNL could do a sketch about the anti-Semitic college presidents testifying in front of Congress and make the questioner Congresswoman Stefanik the target of the sketch."

View on X"After three university presidents were universally panned for their testimony about anti-Semitism on campus, SNL decided that
@EliseStefanik was the one who embarrassed herself," journalist Greg Price noted.

View on XIn the hearing earlier this week, Stefanik asked each of the presidents, "Does calling for the genocide of Jews violate the code of conduct or rules regarding bullying or harassment?"
All three said, "It depends on the context" and would not give a simple "yes" or "no" when pressed to do so, which caused mega-donors to begin pulling their support for the universities.
