TWERKING FOR VOTES: Democrat state senator releases sexual campaign video

Rhode Island State Senator Tiara Mack (D), 28, posted a sexual video to her personal TikTok account encouraging constituents to vote for her titled, "A promised senator thirst trap at Block Island."

The viral video shows Mack wearing a colorful thong bikini performing a headstand while twerking to the camera and repeatedly chanting the word, "a**."

At the end of the video, Tiara smiles into the camera and says, "Vote Senator Mack."

After the video went viral across social media and received backlash from people upset by the senator's behavior, including Democrats, Mack defended her actions and said she's only being criticized because she is a black and queer.

"Damn. Twerking upside down really makes the conservative, unhinged internet accounts pop off on a Monday," Mack said in a tweet Monday evening.

Disappointed with the video, an individual commented on Mack's Twitter post and denounced her actions.

"I'm not a conservative and I'm disappointed. Where do we draw the line on the behavior of public figures? I like when WE have a standard of decorum that we want OUR people to rise to. To be UNCOMMON to be admired! This ain't it," an individual replied.

Mack responded to the backlash and said, "girl. I have an Ivy League degree and am a state senator. Hate to break it to you. Their decorum isn't for us. They can't respect us in a system designed to oppress us."

The Democrat state senator then posted a series of tweets criticizing the media for reporting on her behavior.

"Can the media cover any policy wins had by the youngest Black state senator in Rhode Island?" Mack asked. "As a Black, queer woman you all should know the answer. It's no. Let's them carry on their narrative. Me? I'm going to be joyful, free, and unbothered."

In February, senator Mack introduced a comprehensive sex education bill (S2285) to the Rhode Island legislature, which would teach children in grades six through 12 about "pleasure based sexual relations, different sexual orientations ...[and] same-sex relationships."

Before the hearing, Mack boasted her enthusiasm for the controversial bill and said, "Really excited for the house sex ed bill hearing later today."

"Teaching comprehensive, queer inclusive, pleasure based sex ed was a highlight of my teaching," Mack added on Twitter.

However, both Republican and Democratic state senators overwhelmingly opposed the legislation, and were offended that something of this caliber would enter the chambers, according to The Providence Journal.
