VA Gov. Spanberger's latest list of felons with restored voting rights includes a dog named 'Biscuit' and 'Betty No Last Name'

Virginia Republicans hammered Democrat Gov. Abigail Spanberger over new revelations that her overreaching efforts to restore felons’ voting rights were encouraging ineligible voters to register — including at least one dead dog.
Former state Delegate Nick Freitas shared a photo of the documentation for the late Biscuit Rigsby, a beagle-hound mix from Gum Springs, who was recently reenfranchised despite his apparent felonious past.
Biscuit, who passed away five years ago, was also given the right to serve on a jury, hold office, notarize documents, and possess firearms.
His owner said Biscuit was a “good dog and is greatly missed,” Fox News reported.
However, he wasn’t the only dubious case from Spanberger’s office to be highlighted via social media.
Delegate Tom Garrett, a former US representative, pointed to other recently issued certificates, including one addressed to “Betty No Last Name” from Chesapeake and one addressed to a complete stranger that was received by a constituent of Garrett’s in the Buckingham area.
Those followed at least two other confirmed accounts of individuals who said they received similar letters restoring the voting rights of their long-dead relatives.
All of the letters included QR codes that directed the recipients to a website for voter registration.
"This is not a question of whether people who have served their sentences deserve a second chance,” said Garrett, who called for an investigation into the dubious activity. “This is a question of whether the Commonwealth is exercising one of the Governor’s constitutional powers with even the most basic level of review."
Luke Rosiak, an investigative reporter for the Daily Wire, recently highlighted concerns over Virginia’s election-integrity procedures, including the use of ID Confirmation Statements that allow voters to cast ballots without showing any identification.
Critics have accused Spanberger, a former CIA operative, of deliberately obfuscating the rules in order to sow confusion that would benefit Democrats.
“[I]t’s not by accident,” wrote X user Raquel Brodzinsky-Feigenbutz. “The leftists are deliberately trashing the integrity of our elections so that we’ll agree to dump it and start over. It’s not the system that’s flawed, it’s the corruption that isn’t being held to account that’s the problem. People need to go to jail for the crimes they’ve committed.”
