Video emerges of attempts to revive 9-year-old drowning victim amidst Biden’s border crisis

Three people were found unconscious on an island in the middle of the Rio Grande who had been attempting to pass into the United States from Mexico. The Del Rio Sector Marine Unit was able to revive both the mother and 3-year-old brother while bringing the family to the riverbank.

The video, first obtained by Breitbart Texas, shows an agent running to meet a boat at the bank of the Rio Grande, moving the recently resuscitated and crying 3-year-old off the vessel. The agent then assists with getting the little girl off of the boat, with the video going black.

You can hear one agent instruct the another through their attempts at resuscitation.

"Put her on a flat surface, put her on a flat surface. Start compressions." Says the agent.

One agent asks, "Is there a breath?"

Agents remark that there’s stuff coming out of her mouth while doing compressions. One agent instructs another to roll her on her side.

"Come on, wake up! Wake up, baby, come on," an agent says.

Despite efforts from both Border Patrol agents and Eagle Pass Emergency Medical Services, they were unable to revive the 9-year-old girl.

The Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Austin L. Skero II. extended the agency’s condolences to the family in a statement last week.

"We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of this small child. During these hard times our agents remain resilient, and I am extremely proud of their efforts to preserve human life," he stated.

In February, the US Customs and Border Protection Agency reported 100,441 encounters with people crossing the border, which is just shy of triple the number from 2020. March has seen skyrocketing numbers of unaccompanied children crossing into the country, with about 18,000 currently in US Custody, according to Forbes.
