Vivek Ramaswamy now trails Ron DeSantis for 2024 GOP nom by just 6%: national poll

While Gov. Ron DeSantis' poll numbers are falling, Ramaswamy's popularity is increasing among voters, with an Echelon Insights poll finding that Ramaswamy improved his poll numbers by 2 percent, while DeSantis' numbers saw a 3 percent decrease.

Donald Trump, who is the 2024 Republican presidential frontrunner, has a dominating lead over all Republican challengers with data showing him polling at 49 percent support. DeSantis is falling significantly behind the former president, with results showing him polling at 16 percent. Ramaswamy is at 10 percent, trailing DeSantis by only six points, data reveals.

These are the only three Republican candidates that are currently polling in the double-digits. Former Vice President Mike Pence and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley are tied with five percent, while South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott is receiving four percent support. Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is polling at two percent, while North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum and Miami Mayor Francis Suarez are tied at one percent support, according to the results.

The poll was conducted between June 26 and 29 of 1,020 voters, and has a margin of error of 3.9 percent.

While President Trump leads in the battleground states with 56 percent support and Gov. Ron DeSantis with 22 percent support, Ramaswamy has also gained ground and received seven percent support from swing state voters, according to Breitbart.

Ramaswamy gained significant support among Republican voters after he was the only presidential candidate to show vocal support for Donald Trump when he was indicted by Biden's Department of Justice in Miami last month. The anti-woke businessman committed to pardoning former President Donald Trump of all federal charges if he finds himself in the Oval Office.

"I challenge every US Presidential candidate to join me in standing for TRUTH. Commit to pardon Donald Trump for these federal charges on Day 1, or explain why you won’t," Ramaswamy wrote in a Twitter post on June 13.

After President Trump's South Carolina campaign rally that was attended by 50,000 people on Saturday, Steve Cortes, a top spokesman for DeSantis' Super PAC Never Back Down, admitted that President Trump is the "clear frontrunner" and that the DeSantis campaign is falling significantly behind.
