WATCH: Dan Bongino and wife attacked by activist mob after RNC

He shared the account of the disturbing events on his show. He spoke about the tension that rose among the attendees at the RNC as the night drew to a close. All present knew that they would have to walk the "gauntlet" of "alleged protestors."

Bongino notes that he's not sure what the protestors were protesting, because they didn't state any demands. He and his wife Paula, who is a Columbian immigrant, were called racists by the white people who were waiting outside.

He said that no one put their hands on he or his wife, but that the crowd followed them and shouted insults and threats. The Bonginos were alone as they walked back to their hotel, until they met up with border patrol agents as well as Art Acevedo, police chief from Houston.

His account is harrowing. "Is that your b*tch wife?" A protestor screams at them.

Protestors on Thursday night could be clearly heard doing their best to ruin the proceedings of the acceptance speech by standing US President Donald Trump. The event took place at the White House’s South Lawn, and was the closing event of the Republican National Convention.

Witnesses present at the speech stated that the shouts and noises got louder and louder as the speech went on.

When it was over and people were walking back to their cars or hotels, many of the attendees were repeatedly harassed by protestors. As has been reported earlier, US Senator Rand Paul and his family were among the victims of harassment.

This is especially ironic because they were asking him to say Breonna Taylor's name, when Senator Paul is the author of a bill named in her honour which would disallow the continued use of no-knock warrants—which resulted in her tragic death.

Many people present at the speech, including Senator Rand Paul, profusely thanked the Metro DC Police for their professionalism and diligence in making sure things didn’t escalate further and getting people safely where they needed to go after the event had ended.
