Tucker Carlson called out Utah Republican Governor Spencer Cox for sharing his preferred pronouns during a virtual student town hall in 2021. On Wednesday night, Carlson took aim at Republicans he says are not living up to conservative standards.

View on Rumble"He's beyond belief," Carlson says while prefacing a now widely circulated lip of Gov. Cox haring his preferred pronouns during a virtual student town hall in 2021.
The town hall in question took place with Utah students in April of last year, and was, according to Gov. Cox, "a candid discussion about mask mandates, sex education, gun violence and more."
During the event, a student asked Gov. Cox about what the government plans to do about ensuring mental health resources are available for all students in schools. While introducing herself, the student stated her pronouns. They were also shown on the screen.
Responding in kind, Gov. Cox stated his preferred pronouns, and thanked the student for sharing hers with him. He then stated that the government would work hard to ensure the desired resources are available for all students, including those who identify as LGBTQ, who he says suffer more than the general population.
After showing the clip, Carlson shuttered. "What a creepy guy. 'My preferred pronouns are he/him/his,' Cox tells a room full of children."
Carlson then slammed Gov. Cox for not just saying "I'm a man," likening his declaration of pronouns to someone in a "hostage video."
"Just in case you had any doubt that neo-liberal interest groups control Spencer Cox's brain; now you know for certain. Because it's never about gender, it's always about obedience."
Carlson suggested that Cox was "not obedient to his voters," casting doubt on the idea that there's a "market for superfluous pronouns in Utah."
