“Can you explain why the president interacted with so many of his son’s foreign business associates,” one reporter asked.

During a press conference on Wednesday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre walked out as a reporter pressed her for answers on why Biden interacted with Hunter Biden’s business associates.
"Can you explain why the president interacted with so many of his son's foreign business associates? More than half of voters told CNN they believe the president was involved and he lied. You can't have a response to that, Karine?" a reporter shouted as Jean-Pierre packed up her belongings and left.

She directed the reporter to the White House Counsel’s office, saying that she wasn’t going to "speculate on what has been a baseless inquiry that the House Republicans can’t even really defend themselves, and that many House Republicans have said they couldn’t support their own votes."

When asked about Biden’s reaction to the impeachment inquiry, she said "I don’t have anything to share about the President’s reaction to this."

View on XOn Tuesday, McCarthy announced that a formal impeachment inquiry into Biden would be launched in relation to his connections to family members’ foreign business dealings.
The following day, it was revealed that the Biden administration was sending letters to media executives urging them to discredit this impeachment inquiry.
The letter to top execs at the major outlets urged them to "ramp up" their "scrutiny" of House Republicans after Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced the inquiry.
"It’s time for the media to ramp up its scrutiny of House Republicans for opening an impeachment inquiry based on lies," Ian Sams, a spokesman for the White House Counsel’s Office, wrote in the letter.
