President Donald Trump had harsh words for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, after the leader said that he was "alone" in the war. Trump laid into Zelensky, saying that he has to be "more grateful" for the assistance that the US has offered and that his country is in "big trouble."
"Your country is in big trouble. You’re not winning ... You have a d*mn good chance of coming out okay because of us." Zelensky argued with Trump saying that he needed to speak to the issue and claimed that he has been "alone" in the war against Russia.

After the meeting, Zelensky left ahead of schedule without signing a mineral deal between the US and Ukraine that was supposed to be finalized late on Friday. Trump then wrote on Truth Social, "We had a very meaningful meeting in the White House today. Much was learned that could never be understood without conversation under such fire and pressure."
"It’s amazing what comes out through emotion," he continued, "and I have determined that President Zelenskyy is not ready for Peace if America is involved, because he feels our involvement gives him a big advantage in negotiations. I don’t want advantage, I want PEACE. He disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office. He can come back when he is ready for Peace.”
