YouTuber Jake Paul endorses Vivek Ramaswamy for Ohio governor
Ramaswamy is facing up against Democrat Amy Acton in the gubernatorial race to fill the place of current Ohio Governor Mike DeWine.

YouTuber and influencer Jake Paul has announced his endorsement of Vivek Ramaswamy for governor of Ohio ahead of the midterm elections taking place on Tuesday.
"I'm from Ohio, and I love Ohio, and I am a fighter, and I know a fighter when I see one, and that's why I love Vivek for Ohio," Paul said in a video posted to social media.
"He's going to fight back against all the insanity, fight back against all of the lies from the other side, and fight for y'all young people to have a better life. Trust me, Vivek is who you want, Ohio. Go out and vote Vivek now," he added.
Paul previously showed support for Ramaswamy in a TikTok video in 2023, where the YouTuber praised the then-Republican presidential primary candidate for connecting with younger voters in the lead-up to the 2024 election.
"How come more politicians don't connect with the younger generation with social media posts?" the caption on the video read. "Vivek is."
At the time, Ramaswamy said Paul convinced him to join TikTok to reach out to younger voters in the 2024 election. Although Ramaswamy was only able to ever pull a small fraction of voters during his candidacy at the time, the 2024 election was a springboard for him politically that gave him an advantage in the governor's race.
Ramaswamy is facing up against Democrat Amy Acton in the gubernatorial race to fill the place of current Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, who has been in office since 2019. He will be stepping down this year.
According to averages from RealClearPolling, Acton is up around 4.5 points on the day of the election.
