On Friday, the girlfriend of YouTuber Hunter Avallone was shot after her crazed ex-boyfriend showed up at his West Virginia home and opened fire.
Holle Peno, who is a Twitch streamer and has a following of her own, took a gunshot to the leg, reports the New York Post. Her ex-boyfriend, "Conrad," took his own life during an ensuing altercation with police.

He shot through my building door, injuring Holle's leg in the process. I recorded the final moments in which we're hiding on the back porch. You can hear him shoot at police before ultimately taking his own life...in my own f*cking apartment hallway."
"Holle and I are physically ok," he added, "but mentally, this is gonna do some serious damage. Holle has been amazing and she's been incredibly brave and strong throughout this ordeal."

View on XConrad and Peno were texting during the incident, with the latter pleading with the former to give up.
When she asked him to surrender and noted that she was "losing a lot of blood," he said he "never meant for that," and asked her once more to "leave [Avallone]."
"Only if you surrender," she said, to which he replied, "I will," before stating in no uncertain terms that he "should have killed the coward," referring to Avallone.
According to the Herald-Mail, the shooting took place shortly before 12:30pm on Friday at Avallone's home on North Queen Street in Martinsburg, a town about 75 miles northwest of Washington, DC.
Upon arrival, Conrad fired his shotgun through the front door, striking Peno. When police showed up on the scene, he continued trying to force his way into the home. Officers engaged in a brief exchange of gunfire, before he turned the weapon on himself.
Peno was taken to Berkeley Medical Center with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
In the days since, a GoFundMe has been set up for Avallone and Peno to help them recover from the ordeal. It has since raised over $800.
