The CDC on Thursday just updated their guidelines, stating that people who have received all required doses of the vaccine no longer need to wear masks, indoors or outdoors.

However, it's still recommended that these people continue to mask up if in a crowded indoor setting, like on public transportation, or in a hospital or prison. However, if outdoors, masks are no longer considered necessary by the CDC for vaccinated people, even in crowds.
This new information will contradict previous guidelines from just two weeks ago. It is speculated that this is perhaps meant to promote vaccination in the American population. Current guidelines state that people should still wear masks in indoor settings outside of one's own household, and also outdoors in crowded settings.
