A woman who has been charged with the murder of a 3-year-old in Ohio stood grinning as the murder and other charges were read off to her in court on Monday.

Bionca Ellis, 32, has had her bond has been set to $5 million in the double stabbing case of 3-year-old boy Julian Wood and his mother Margot Wood. As the judge in the case read off a long list of charges, including the murder of Julian, Ellis was all smiles.

According to WKYC, Ellis appeared in court on Monday for her arraignment as Ohio Judge Nancy Margaret Russo asked her a series of questions, many of which were not answered by Ellis. Ellis grinned as the charges in the stabbing were read to her.

When Russo asked her, “I just need to ask you a few questions. I need to make sure you understand them. Do you have an attorney?” Ellis avoided the question surrounding getting a lawyer and how much it would cost.

When Ellis was asked if she had received her indictment, she replied, "I don't know." Ellis was told she could read a copy of the indictment which was presented to her in the courtroom.

During the hearing, and prior to the judge announcing the $5 million bond, Julian's father took the stand and said "That day, one week ago, she took everything from us. There’s nothing that could ever replace my son or anything that my wife and I, even our other kids, are going through. It’s horrendous. I really wish no bail. Period. Or extend it to the maximum limit possible that you can, at the very least. Just do whatever you can to keep this monster behind bars.”

Ellis has been charged with one count of aggravated murder, two counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder, two counts of felony assault, one count of endangering a child, one count of tampering with evidence, and one count of misdemeanor theft.

On Monday, June 3, police received a call about the stabbing of 3-year-old Julian and his mother, 38-year-old Margot Wood, in the parking lot of a store after they got groceries. Both were taken to the hospital for treatment and only the mother survived. Julian had been stabbed in the face. Ellis was found by the police a short distance away still holding the knife.

A GoFundMe to raise money for Julian's family was created last Wednesday to raise money for Julian's family. It has raised over $250,000 as of Tuesday, with the last line reading, "Please continue your prayers for our family, for Margot, baby Julian, Jared, his grandmother, his brother, and his sister, and pray our family receives some sort of justice."
