James O’Keefe has released undercover footage showing a former vice president at Atlantic Records and Def Jam Records alleging that Sean “Diddy” Combs blacklisted artists and used compromising party footage as leverage in record deals.

Motti Shulman, the former senior VP of Rhythm Promotion at Atlantic Records, claimed Combs exerted significant control over artists’ careers by leveraging relationships with record executives and using footage from parties to maintain influence within the music industry.

“[Combs] had more to do than just whether you got a record deal or not, like, he could blacklist you,” Shulman told an undercover O’Keefe Media Group (OMG) journalist. “Especially after you went to one of his parties and it seemed fun, and there were girls and drugs, but now he’s got you on video doing weird sh*t.”

Shulman also called Combs a “f***ing ass****” and a “bad guy.”

Last October, Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison after being found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Prosecutors had sought a sentence of more than 11 years, but the judge ruled that such a sentence was “not reasonable.”

Since then, Combs has remained under public scrutiny. Most recently, rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson released a documentary examining Combs’ career. The documentary, “Sean Combs: The Reckoning,” debuted on Netflix and drew 21.8 million views in its first six days, according to Variety.

The film includes previously unseen footage that Combs had allegedly commissioned himself. Combs’ legal team has responded with threats of legal action, claiming the footage was obtained illegally.
