The new leader of the Ontario Liberals, Steven Del Duca, has been slammed on social media for a video made in response to Premier Ford's cheesecake tutorial.

Ford's original video was widely applauded for it's much-needed levity in these anxious times. Commentator Warren Kinsella called the video's producer a "total genius." Even a left-wing newspaper—whose stocks are rapidly dropping—called the video "adorable. "

Clearly dismayed by Ford's success, Del Duca attempted to create a video to hit back at the premier. Standing behind cheesecake ingredients, the Liberal leader began to criticize Ford's handling of long-term care homes.

"When you're baking or cooking it's important to measure what matters," said Del Duca ominously.

As soon as Del Duca's video was published, Twitter users began to condemn the Vaughn MPP for his gormless video. "I sincerely hope you stick to this communications strategy," said a former Ford staffer.

Indeed, many Progressive Conservatives may revel in Del Duca's video, which was even more ratio'd than Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man. As of writing this, Del Duca received slightly under a 1,000 comments with only 200 retweets—a sure sign that a tweet is in poor taste.

"Your smarmy swipe at Ford ensures another #BlueWave next election. How childish. It’s amateur hour over at the ON liberal party," wrote another Twitter user.
