The Post Millennial associate editor Ari Hoffman interviewed conservative actor Kevin Sorbo, star of Hercules and Andromeda, while guest hosting for 570 KVI, where they discussed cancel culture in Hollywood and the actor recently being banned from Facebook.
"They didn’t give me a warning. They just took it down." said Sorbo. "They were shadow banning me for the last year because I post things that are truthful…like the voter fraud we had in November, COVID restrictions, and I sort of attacked the whole idea of shutting down peoples' businesses," adding to the argument "apparently they didn't like that because their businesses are doing just fine."
After Hoffman asked the actor whether or not there was a specific post resulting in Sorbo's ban from Facebook. Sorbo said Facebook never informed him they were banning his account despite Facebook providing a statement to Fox News which alleged the actor was given two warnings.
In the past, Sorbo acknowledged that Facebook would send him warnings about posts going against their 'community guidelines' and would comply with the company and remove them so he didn’t have to lose his following base.
"Apparently freedom of speech is a one way street with these guys and its happening more and more out there but the only times they every gave me warnings was prior and I would always take them down. This time they just took me down."
The actor continued his interview with Hoffman detailing his struggles as an openly conservative Christian in Hollywood. Hoffman asked, "Something that I don’t understand and you probably have a better perspective on this…but there are conservatives in their marketplace so don’t they think that you would want these people to have exposure so they would stay on your platform?"
Sorbo who has acted in and produced many Christian films answered, "Yeah. I do movies that are family friendly some are faith based. I go to Hollywood and I sit there and say I got this great movie let’s put it together and they just ignore it because it might have a Christian involved in it or might have a happy ending. It’s weird out there right now."
Hoffman shared his own personal experiences of being on the back-end of anti-semitic hateful remarks by leftists which promoted the actor to shine a light on the hate conservatives endure in today’s culture. "I think the last ten years the hate and the anger and the divided feelings that are going on now on social media…people can go on and be cyber bullies. These people are so unhappy in their lives and they want you and me to suffer right along with them," said Sorbo.
"I have haters out there just like you do. I could post 2+2=4 and I would get people telling me to die. These are pathetic cyberbully trolls that have nothing better to do with their lives except live off my tax dollars and your tax dollars."
Hoffman ended the interview by asking actor Kevin Sorbo what the offending post was that Facebook found to be so bad, the actor replied "I don’t know, they won’t answer me." The full interview can be heard here.
