Shocking video footage taken at the US-Southern border in Eagle Pass, Texas on Wednesday exposes the gravity of the border crisis under President Biden's administration.

Footage taken by TENET Media field reporter Taylor Hansen shows over one thousand illegal immigrants, including families with children and babies, waiting and sleeping outside in winter temperatures at a makeshift migrant apprehension site in Eagle Pass.

They had just illegally entered the United States and the site was set up due to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities being overrun with migrants. In recent years, as the historic border crisis has worsened, federal immigration facilities have been operating at maximum capacity.

The ongoing invasion has resulted in a humanitarian crisis as these facilities do not have the capacity to take in any more illegal immigrants.

TENET media reports that more than one thousand migrants have been waiting outside at the makeshift apprehension site. Some have been there for longer than 24 hours. All of them were issued silver emergency blankets and have been waiting to be officially processed by Border Patrol.

"In all my years of reporting, I have never seen anything like this," said Hansen.

Video footage shows the migrants packed like sardines in an open field near the border.

The situation in Eagle Pass, Texas arises in the wake of data recently released by Border Patrol, which unveiled an unprecedented number of illegal border crossings under the Biden administration.

The US southern border has seen more than 2 million illegal crossings within the past year, with more than 6 million encounters since President Joe Biden took over the White House in 2021.

Apprehensions of people who are on the terrorist watch list are nearly double last year's record total. According to the CBP data, 172 non-citizens who were on the terrorist watchlist were apprehended at the border, which was an increase from 2022's record year of 98. Before 2021, the highest number was six in 2018, and it has skyrocketed since the Biden administration took over.

Former President Donald Trump, who is the 2024 GOP presidential frontrunner, recently warned about a massive caravan of illegal immigrants headed to the United States. He has vowed to make border security a top priority if he were to take back the White House.
