A kindergarten graduation in Arkansas erupted into a brawl when a fight broke out between the parents who were in attendance. The school was forced to call out the behavior from the adults in front of their small children, who were yelling for their parents to "stop."

The fight between the parents was caught on video, with several adults getting involved in the chaos and throwing punches at each other at West Memphis’ Faulk Elementary ealier this week. The children present could be heard screaming in the footage of the incident.

As the fight broke out, multiple men and women struck each other while others avoided the melee, pulling their children away from the violence. One resident of West Memphis said that the parents should be facing legal consequences and prosecution.

“It shouldn’t be happening around children, especially, and these are grown folks at a kids’ graduation. It shouldn’t be happening at all,” the resident told reporters. “All of them need to be held accountable for it. Everybody who’s involved. That’s what I think about it."

Despite the huge melee between the parents at the graduation, there were no arrests made by police at the elementary school. However, West Memphis School District Superintendent Eric Foister issued a warning the adults who were involved in the brawl.

“We have our own camera system with sound. So we have gathered all that. Obviously, we are a small community, so we have the names,” Foister told reporters. “You come into our buildings and you put the safety and well-being of our students and staff in jeopardy, I’m going to hold you to the fullest accountability I am working with our local law enforcement, and I’m going to press any and all charges that I can."

The superintendent also announced that the parents would be banned from the school, “I’m also going to ban you from our school property. The only way, if you’re a parent, you can have access to obviously dropping your kid off and picking your kid up."

In response to the fight at the graduation, the West Memphis School District said in a statement, “The safety and security of our students, staff, and school campuses remain our top priority. We have zero tolerance for any behavior by parents, students, staff, or visitors that disrupts the learning environment or threatens the well-being of anyone on school grounds."
