While many anti-racist protesters gathered in the streets of Paris on Saturday to offer support after the death of George Floyd, some of them could be heard chanting "Dirty Jews!"

Human Rights lawyer Hillel Neuer posted a thread about the incident on Twitter, beginning with a video of a crowd chanting in Place de la République as a banner that read "Justice for the victims of anti-white racism" fell upon the building.

Outraged by the banner, the anti-racist crowd responded by blurting "Dirty Jews!" In response, the Prefect of Police reported the anti-Semitic comments to the justice.

The most peculiar part of the event is that many showed up to the protest with Palestinian flags and holding placards that read: "Israel, laboratory of police violence."

Though major voices considered the anti-Semitic sentiments to be the product of isolated individuals at the event, it was clear that these messages were available for all to see, and they were not immediately condemned by fellow protesters.

Some of them even had a little tent set up around the area.

Anti-Semitic sentiments have flared amid the protests and riots following the death of George Floyd.
