The failson offspring of actor John Malkovich, Loewy Malkovich, was arrested at a violent riot in Portland, Oregon late Friday night. He was charged with obstructing a peace officer and disorderly conduct in the second degree.
The Daily Mail reports that the 28-year-old son of the actor best known for his roles in Being John Malkovich and The Killing Fields attended a violent riot on Friday night. The riot saw over 300 participants, according to Portland police.
Portland has experienced rioting by pro-Black Lives Matter demonstrators and Antifa militants for over 100 nights.
Loewy Malkovich was among 27 people arrested at the “mostly peaceful” demonstration, which turned violent and declared a riot by the Portland Police Bureau.
Black Lives Matter activists reportedly joined with Antifa members to riot in the streets surrounding the Portland Police Union building to demand that the police be defunded for their participation in “systemic racism” and for “upholding white supremacy.”
The paper found that Loewy lives in Portland and works as a Junior Software Engineer at Chainstarters Inc., a tech firm local to the city.
Leftist failson Loewy Malkovich’s politics clearly lean in the opposite direction of his famous and successful dad, who publicly voiced his support for George W. Bush’s War on Terror and supports the death penalty. Despite his conservative views, actor John Malkovich has largely steered clear of politics. Speaking to the Guardian, Malkovich said that the last time he voted was in 1972.
Saturday night saw one of its most violent actions by rioters as upwards of 50 people were arrested after Antifa militants hurled Molotov cocktails and firebombs at the police. One man was set on fire and quickly doused by the police.
Last week, a Trump supporter, Aaron “Jay” Danielson, was gunned down by an Antifa militant who was later shot and killed by police when they tried to arrest him.
