Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Health Minister Christine Elliott were not present at today's daily coronavirus press conference, as the pair were being tested for the potentially deadly virus.

College and University Minister Ross Romano was tasked with handling the press conference on his own.

According to a statement from the office of the premier, the two went for testing immediately after they were informed that Education Minister Stephen Lecce had "come in contact with someone who tested positive."

Ford and Elliott are being monitored for symptoms, and their results will be made public once completed.
