It leaves her in a very strange place, it's called NEVER NEVERLAND, and it's not a place you want to be.

Ronna McDaniel has found herself a little bit politically homeless after she was forced to step down from the RNC, then hired as a correspondent with NBC News, only to be forced out of the network amid backlash from on-air talent.

As McDaniel left NBC on Tuesday, barely a week after she was hired, GOP front runner President Donald Trump had harsh words for the former chair who openly balked at the prospect of his nomination as the Republican presidential candidate.

"Wow! Ronna McDaniel got fired by Fake News NBC," Trump said on Truth Social. "She only lasted two days, and this after McDaniel went out of her way to say what they wanted to hear. It leaves her in a very strange place, it's called NEVER NEVERLAND, and it's not a place you want to be. These Radical Left Lunatics are CRAZY, and the top people at NBC ARE WEAK. They were BROKEN and EMBARRASSED by LOW RATINGS, HIGHLY OVERPAID, 'TALENT.' BRING BACK FREE AND FAIR PRESS - MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN 2024!"

McDaniel only appeared once on NBC, and after she did so, the other on-air talent freaked out. When she appeared on Meet the Press with Kristen Welker, #BoycottMeetThePress started trending on X. Welker even explained to viewers that she had no part in booking McDaniel.

Former MSNBC anchor Keith Olbermann wrote on X, "The person they hired to sh*t on the (admittedly damaged) reputation of NBC News denied the honesty of the 2020 election and called the company's opinion hosts propagandists. #fireRonna."

Head of NBC News' politics and elections reporting Carrie Budoff Brown defended McDaniel on Friday, emphasizing McDaniel’s perspective on national issues and the GOP.

"It couldn’t be a more important moment to have a voice like Ronna’s on the team," Brown wrote in her memo, "As we gear up for the longest general election season in recent memory, she will support our leading coverage by providing an insider’s perspective on national politics and on the future of the Republican Party—which she led through some of the most turbulent and challenging moments in political history."

Trump and McDaniel met before she announced that she was leaving the RNC. Trump's daughter-in-law Lara Trump and former RNC chair of North Carolina Michael Whatley are now joint chairs of the RNC.
