“He wants to be part of the Abraham Accords,” Trump said of MBS, who was seated beside him. "We've had a very good talk on the Abraham Accords... I think you have a very good feeling toward the Abraham Accords."
MBS added, “We want peace for the Israelis, we want peace for the Palestinians," adding,“We want to be part of the Abraham Accords but we want also to be sure that we secure a clear path of a two-state solution.”
Trump called the kingdom and Israel both “great allies.” Trump also announced that the United States would move forward with selling F-35 stealth fighter jets to Saudi Arabia under an arrangement similar to existing U.S.-Israeli security agreements.
“As far as I'm concerned, I think they are both at a level where they should get top-of-the-line F-35s,” he said. Trump noted that MBS agreed to invest significantly in the US economy, building on commitments made during the president’s May visit to Riyadh.
“I want to thank you because you've agreed to invest $600 billion into the United States,” Trump told the crown prince, adding that he hoped to convince him to increase the figure. MBS responded by publicly confirming that the kingdom would expand its US investment to $1 trillion.
Saudi Arabia’s massive investment is expected to flow into US infrastructure, technology, and industry, creating substantial opportunities for American workers and businesses.
