Protestors once again gathered at Queen's Park on Saturday afternoon to protest the shutdown measures implemented by the Ontario government. Over 200 people chanted slogans like "Open up Ontario," "Make Canada great again," and "No more antifa."
Premier Doug Ford called the protestors a "bunch of yahoos" last week after Ontario's first demonstration of this kind. This Saturday's protest comes after Ford has announced that some businesses can open up as soon as May 4 as the province adopts a reopening strategy.
One protestor said, "While we have to be careful with the virus, it doesn’t justify the depression, unemployment, loneliness, despair, bankruptcy and everything else this lockdown is causing."
This is a breaking story and will be updated.
