A new Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday shows Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is gaining support and momentum in the key battleground states of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. Trump has surged in Michigan, is leading in Wisconsin and slightly trails Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris in Pennsylvania, according to the poll.

In Michigan, Trump has moved up three percentage points from the previous Quinnipiac poll of Sept. 18. He now stands at 50 percent support to Harris’s 47 percent while in Wisconsin the former president has 48 percent support to 46 percent for Harris. In Pennsylvania, Harris leads with 49 percent to Trump’s 46 percent.

Voters were also asked a series of questions by Quinnipiac about would they thought “would do a better job" on seven key issues. Trump outscored Harris on virtually every issue except abortion. When it came to the economy, immigration, upholding democracy, foreign affairs and crisis management, Trump was ahead.

The following is a breakdown of results by issue and state, with Trump’s results being listed first in Michigan and Wisconsin:

Economy: 54/45 and 53/44; Immigration: 53/44 and 52/44; preserving democracy: 49/48 and 47/48; abortion: 40/52 and 39/53; the conflict in the Middle East: 53/43 and 51/44; as commander-in-chief of the US military: 52/46 and 51/45; a crisis that put the country at great risk: 52/46 and 49/47.

Trump continues to outperform Harris and the vice president received no post-debate bounce, despite media frenzy over her performance.

Even though some voters in the 67-million-person audience initially thought Harris won the debate, post-debate analysis showed that many believed that ABC News’ moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis were biased against Trump.

Democratic mail-in voting has also fallen in three key states, also indicating declining enthusiasm for Harris.
