Biden's US Assistant Health Secretary Rachel Levine insists that sex change procedures for minors are a part of "mental healthcare" that will "literally" prevent kids from taking their lives.
Levine, a trans-identified male, made the recent comments during a recent sitdown interview with a minor boy in which he revealed his position on child mutilation.
"It's such an important issue for our youth and adults," Admiral Levine said, discussing child sex changes.
"We often say that gender-affirming care is healthcare," he continued. "Gender-affirming care is mental healthcare, and gender-affirming care is literally suicide prevention care."
"Would that be your view as well?" Levine asked the minor boy.
Sitting down in a suit and tie, the boy responded, "I 100 percent agree."
Levine and the Biden administration have been critical opponents to legislation that seeks to ban so-called gender-affirming care for minors, which includes child sex change procedures, hormone replacement therapies, and puberty blockers.
Despite many medical doctors warning about the irreversible damage that is caused by these damaging processes, Levine has ignored the advice and continues to push the treatments onto kids.
Adults, teens, and children who have undergone sex change procedures have given recent testimony regarding their regrets about the alleged treatment, which causes many issues for the human body and cannot be reversed.
In January, Levine spoke at an event hosted by the US Department of Education, and told educators that child sex changes are "medically necessary, safe and effective for transgender and non-binary youth." Levine also said that trans identity is a child's "superpower."
