The New York Police Department arrested Sharp on May 12 in Jamaica, Queens.
A Chicago-based rap artist and self-proclaimed gang member reportedly "cried in his jail cell" after he was locked up for attempting to steal New York police officer's guns out of their holsters, the New York Post reports.
Richard Sharp, who goes by the stage name "Famous Richard", uploaded numerous videos to TikTok of him personally taunting NYPD officers and then bragging that he "would never get caught."
Not only did Sharp get arrested on charges that include making a terroristic threat, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, menacing and disorderly conduct, he also reportedly "cried in his jail cell", police sources told the outlet.
Sharp has since been released on his own recognizance after posting bail.
The New York Police Department arrested Sharp on May 12 in Jamaica, Queens, several weeks after issuing a safety alert over Sharp's brazen anti-police antics which he would post to social media, NY Post reports.

According to police, Sharp was obstructing traffic with another individual when officers ordered him to move.
Sharp refused the orders and said, "I'm going to take your pipe" then gave reasonable fear that Sharp was going "to take the officer's firearm," police said.
The NYPD officer attempted to make an arrest, but Sharp resisted by flagrantly waving his arms and escaped, according to police.

After Sharp was released from jail, he took to TikTok to post about the incident and uploaded an interaction with an officer in the city's bustling Times Square.
“I’m King David," Sharp says on a TikTok, referencing the Chicago street gang, the "Black Disciples."
"How you coming, Shorty?" Sharp asked the cop.
The NYPD officer fired back and said, "You're the guy that got arrested. You were crying in the cells. I remember that."
The rap artist then approached a separate group of officers standing near the Midtown North Precinct and attempted to take issue but an officer recognized him and said, "What’s up son. You was crying in the cells last week, right?"
"Who told you that?" Sharp asked.
"I saw you, bro," the cops responded.
Sharp asks another officer, "I was crying in the cells?"
"You were crying in the cells, big guy," the officer said.
"Stop lying on my name," Sharp demanded. "You got everybody on TikTok thinking I was really crying."
According to NYPD, Sharp is a repeat offender with a rap sheet that includes 12 prior arrests, which include felony firearm possession.
Police say he is known to the department for his "history of assault on law enforcement," according the NY Post.
