BREAKING: Nova Scotia RCMP tells residents to stay indoors after unconfirmed reports of gun shots in two neighbourhoods

Nova Scotia RCMP has advised residents to stay indoors following reports of gun shots fired in the Haliburton area of Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia.

Nova Scotia RCMP has advised residents to stay indoors following reports of gun shots fired in the Haliburton area of Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia.

Hammonds Plains is a suburb of Halifax, being only a 25 minute drive away.

"RCMPNS are responding to reports of shots fired (unconfirmed) in the Haliburton Heights area of Hammonds Plains," tweeted the RCMP, asking residents to remain indoors.

RCMP arrived at the scene in a "wooded area" near Hammond Plains. There has been an additional report of shots fired in the Omega Court area of Hubley.
