On Monday, Savannah Guthrie made her return to the "TODAY" show as an anchor, over two months following her mother's suspected kidnapping.

"We are so glad you started your week with us, and it is good to be home," Guthrie said as the program began. Her bright yellow outfit matched the yellow ribbons and blooms placed outside her mother's residence.

The anchors proceeded with morning headlines, opening with coverage of the conflict in Iran. "Well, here we go, ready or not," Guthrie remarked. "Let's do the news." Co-anchor Craig Melvin, wearing a yellow necktie, touched Guthrie's hand saying: "Yes, it is good to have you back.”

Guthrie, who has helmed "TODAY" since 2012, left her position in early February when Nancy Guthrie, 84, was apparently kidnapped from her Tucson, Arizona area home.

In a previous conversation with Hoda Kotb, Guthrie expressed that returning to anchor was "part of my purpose right now," per NBC News. She said that she would be going back to work at a place where she sees "joy and lightness." Kotb filled Guthrie's role during her absence.

During Monday's second hour, Guthrie saw supporters outside Rockefeller Plaza, some displaying yellow pins as well as Nancy Guthrie's photograph. "You guys have been so beautiful," she stated with emotion. "I've received so many letters, so much kindness to me and my whole family. We feel it. We feel your prayers."

Nancy Guthrie was reported missing around midday February 1 when she did not go to church. She was last observed at approximately 9:45 pm the prior evening after dining at daughter Annie Guthrie's residence.

While no suspect or motive has been identified, the FBI released disturbing doorbell footage showing an armed, masked individual near Nancy Guthrie's home the morning she disappeared. The suspect was described as having an average build, standing 5'9" to 5'10", carrying a black Ozark Trail Hiker Pack 25-liter backpack.

The family has offered up to $1 million for information leading to the 84-year-old's recovery, while the FBI provides rewards up to $100,000 for "information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance."
