A Washington state school board director and owner of an "all ages" sex store is once again hosting a sex workshop for kids as young as age nine. Jenn Mason, owner of the WinkWink boutique in Bellingham, will kick off her two-day sex classes at the end of the month.

The "Uncringe Academy" will begin with the 13- to 17-year-old group meeting on June 23, while the 9- to 12-year-old group will meet the following day, on June 24. The workshop takes place from 10 am to 2:30 pm. Parents are welcome to attend, but it's optional. There's a separate evening session for parents, Seattle Red reported.

"There's a lot to learn when it comes to bodies, puberty, sex, gender, and relationship! That's why WinkWink created 'Uncringe Academy': honest, supportive, and inclusive sex education classes to help young people and their families understand this important part of their life," the event description states. "We use a variety of techniques to help kids stay engaged, including activities, group discussion, and lots of games. Need to offer them another selling point? We've got snacks and fun prizes for our games!"

The shop indicates that full scholarships are available by email, and tickets are priced on a varying basis.

Previous "Uncringe Academy" sessions included topics such as "sexual anatomy for pleasure," "kinds of solo and partnered sexual activities," "gender and sexual identities," and "safer sex practices for all kinds of sexual activities."

Mason, who serves as a director on the Bellingham school board, defended the workshop to Seattle radio host Jason Rantz. She said in a statement that the curriculum will not teach kids how to have sexual intercourse but was "developed at the request of parents looking for a community-based youth sex education program." Mason claimed her workshops have garnered at least 400 participants since 2022.

According to Mason's description on WinkWink's website, she received a sex coaching certification through the Sexology Institute. She has also hosted an all ages open mic night for "queer youth."
