Seattle home with pro-Trump, pro-police signs targeted in drive-by shooting

Seattle police are investigating a politically charged shooting in the Ballard neighborhood after multiple gunshots were fired into a home early Sunday morning. Authorities believe the house may have been deliberately targeted because of pro-Trump and “Police Lives Matter” signs displayed in the window.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 3 am and found several bullet holes in the home's front window. Photos from the scene taken Monday by KOMO News showed at least four bullet holes surrounding multiple pro-Trump signs, a "Police Lives Matter" thin blue line sign, and a Confederate flag emblem.

According to the Seattle Police Department, the homeowner’s vehicle was also damaged by gunfire and had been vandalized with Pride flag stickers.

SPD’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit responded to the scene and recovered several shell casings. No injuries were reported, as the victim was asleep during the attack. No suspects have been identified. The homeowner told the outlet she believes that she is being repeatedly targeted for her personal and political beliefs.

Police confirmed this is the third such incident at the same address. "They always damage her window and car," neighbor Ewa Sporna told KOMO News. "I’m surprised. I thought once, twice, but a third time? That’s a little too much."

Sporna said that in the middle of the night, "I heard the pops, like, pop, pop, pop, a few times. I'm scared. I was shaking, and I think I'm going to move."

Investigators are urging anyone with information to contact police.
