In what has turned out to be another hit-and-run incident in the greater Toronto area, a 74-year old man was waiting at a bus stop in the area at around 3pm on Tuesday when a 2007 Jetta careened into the bus shelter, also hitting the man. The man was rushed to the hospital and is currently fighting for his life.

"A 74-year-old man was standing on the southeast corner at a bus stop. The vehicle mounted the southeast curb and struck the man and the bus shelter," stated a spokesperson for Traffic Services.

Police have recovered the vehicle, which was abandoned nearby, but the suspect remains at large, according to the Toronto Sun.

The suspect is described as a man having dreadlocks with blond tips and has been spotted leaving the area in a black Hyundai Santa Fe, which is believed to be a ride-share car. The car picked the suspect up on Warrender Av.

This is an ongoing investigation, and anybody who has more information that may help in tracking the suspect is asked to please contact local police or Crime Stoppers.
