A little over a year ago, Antoine Jackson of Chicago robbed a woman and tried to rape her on one of Chicago's Red Line trains. He got probation and on Sunday, he allegedly forced a woman into an alley where he robbed and raped her.

The attack occurred around 3:45am on Sunday morning in the Lakeview neighborhoods, near, Kenmore and School streets.  A woman was walking on the street when she was grabbed from behind.

According to local outlet CWB Chicago, The perpetrator claimed he had a gun, and walked her into a nearby alley where the woman was robbed and then raped.

Jackson has been charged with aggravated robbery, felony kidnapping, and two different counts of aggravated sexual assault with a weapon. He is due to appear in court on Saturday.

His 2020 case involved him allegedly exposing himself to a woman on the train. The woman went to a different car, and was followed. He hit her several times, robbed her, and attempted to rape her, touching her sexually in the process.

Incredibly, despite 18 different felonies being on the true bill returned by the grand jury, Jackson was given only two years of probation and no jail time.

All of this is despite a previous prison sentence for pointing a BB gun at a man's head, also on the Red Line.

Crime in Chicago, like in most other cities, has been rising sharply over the past two years.
